Mr. Roseman's "Memories of My Father" is a compelling, intellectual novella with a premise and family relationships that are both unique and relatable. The casual narrative guides readers through a story that grows in complexity page-by-page. Starting simply, with a father losing his memory and his family grappled with caring for the ailing man, the story grows, primarily following the man's daughter who sacrifices almost everything for the benefit of her dad and others suffering like him. The reader hits several twists along the way, from time-traveling elements to surprising revelations of the root cause of the father's condition.I found the character relationships to be sweet and heart-felt. In the Afterward, Mr. Roseman reveals his personal connections to the story. This personal touch rings true throughout the novella. The writing is smooth and doesn't bog down in unnecessary descriptive detail. The frequent jumps in time are jarring at first, but once the reader gets into the rhythm, they help advance the story efficiently, giving little time for the reader to catch his/her breath before the next twist.
I highly recommend this novella. It's a quick read whose insight and themes linger with the reader long after finishing. I look forward to reading more by Mr. Roseman.

Memories of My Father is a fascinating sci-fi twist on the subject of memory loss and it's impact on those affected. I was crying by the end of the book and still wanted to read it again. I highly recommend it!

WOW! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! As always, Mr. Roseman delivers with a craft comparable--if not outright BETTER--than the likes of King or Baxter. Never have I ever been disappointed by the twists and turns this author puts his readers through, and it is always a delight to see that he has written yet another masterpiece to sink my teeth into. A MUST READ! Thank you for sharing this with the world, Mr. Roseman!

Memories of My Father is another engaging, superbly crafted story by Josh Roseman. It is a thought provoking look at the problem of memory loss, the impact it has on the afflicted and people around them, with a science fictional twist. Highly recommended. I found myself immediately wanting to read it again, and have done just that.
